The Crafter’s wide sliding doors allow pallet access and can accommodate 4-6 Euro pallets depending on your chosen wheelbase. Plus, it has rear barn doors that open 180 degrees or an upgraded 270 degrees if required.

Crafter Heavy Duty 50
Ready for the job
The Crafter Heavy Duty range includes the Crafter 50 and 55 which comes with all the comfort and smarts of the Crafter 35, but with an upgraded suspension, rear-wheel drive and dual rear wheels for increased traction.
The Crafter 50 has a GVM of 5.0 tonnes and is drivable on a standard license. When the going gets tough, Crafter 55 gets tougher with a GVM of up to 5.5 tonnes to help make heavy duty jobs feel easier than ever.

Read Traffic Alert
Available as an option, Rear Traffic Alert helps by emitting an audible warning when reversing out of a parking space if another vehicle is getting too close. If the driver fails to respond, the system intervenes and applies braking to help reduce possibility of a collision.

Automatic Post-Collision Braking System
Applies the brake after a collision. Ideally, this will prevent any subsequent crashes. After a short delay, the vehicle begins a phased braking action down to 10 km/h, during which the driver can take over at any time.

Stops the wheels from locking. Enabling you to keep control over the vehicle’s steering.

If the driver’s seat belt is not fastened, the seat belt warning system reminds them to fasten it with a visual warning when the engine is started and an audible warning after setting off.

4MOTION All-Wheel Drive

For tougher terrains choose 4MOTION AWD which allocates the engine’s power across all four wheels as needed, preventing wheel spin and locking. The mechanical differential lock makes starting up in adverse, off-road conditions safer and easier.

The Crafter van offers space for four to six pallets, depending on the wheelbase. This corresponds to a loading volume between approx. 9.9 m³ and up to 16.1 m³.
4 pallets for the medium-long wheelbase: loading volume from approx. 9.9 m³ to 11.3 m³.
6 pallets in the long wheelbase: loading volume from approx. 14.4 m³ up to 16.1 m³.
Interior Cargo Hold
Ready to load
Use the hold as a mobile workshop? The Crafter Van is made for it. After all, it is the only vehicle in its class with which body-side preparations for rack installations are included as standard. You can also opt for other clever solutions if you wish.
Wood Floor: Your load is optimally positioned on the 10 mm thick beech wood floor. In addition, it is particularly stable and durable.
Four LED lights illuminate the cargo area brightly and evenly.
Rear wing doors: The two roof-high rear doors offer an opening angle of up to 180 °. On request, it can even be extended up to 270 °.

Safe and Secure
The Crafter Van has a lot of space for materials, tools, packages and the many other things you need throughout the working day. In addition, it offers almost as many clever options for fixing everything. This way the cargo arrives at your destination in perfect condition.
Lashings: For optimal attachment of the load, you can receive robust metal lashing rails for the side walls, the partition, the roof frame and the universal floor.
Tie-down: With the lashing strap fitting, you can fix the goods in the cargo hold. To do this, you can simply attach it to the lashing rails or to the individual lashing point of the tension rod.
Air Conditioning
Keeping it cool
When temperatures rise to 28 degrees in the summer and the sun beams down onto your driver’s cab, the optional air conditioning system with electronic control helps to guarantee exactly the right temperature. You can choose between these variants:

The optional air conditioning system ensures the desired temperature thanks to the continuously variable control.
“Climatronic” Air Conditioning
The “Climatronic” air conditioning system, which is available as an option, offers 2/3 zone temperature control for the driver, front passenger and loading or passenger compartment. The automatic air recirculation, the air quality sensor, additional vents and the optional additional heating create a pleasant climate.
Air conditioning with electronic control and second evaporator
The vents of the optionally available air conditioning system are located above the partition. It air-conditioned the cargo hold for professional transportation of people or temperature-sensitive cargo.
